Watching Alliance players pull shit, attempt to run away, and die just makes me giddy. Especially when I'm over-leveled for the area and could totally help them out, I just don't, because lol Alliance.

That's not really accurate. Glib, but inaccurate.

MMO = Mass Multiplayer Online = playing with strangers over an internet connection.

I fail to see how what I said is inaccurate when most newer consoles nowadays can connect to the internet specifically because there are a significant number of games being released that require it in order for you to play with other people over it. Just because it's not on a computer doesn't mean it's not an MMO.

Except nobody actually uses that definition. Ask most people and MMO will actually mean MMORPG.

I was making a sarcastic joke because MMOs aren't popular like they used to be. Christ, settle down. Maybe go outside.

It's not the first time you've made a "sarcastic joke" about them. I've been brushed off before from discussing gaming with you because apparently MMOs don't count as games, so I just pretty much avoid your game threads now because you really do come off as quite the prick whether you're intending to or not.

I've been playing Warframe for a while. Shoot-em-up game with a co-op mode that isn't an excuse to riddle your fellow players with holes? Yes, please!

Is that really an MMO though? Seems more like a F2P co-op 3PS rather than anything on the WoW or EQ model.

Maybe it's an MORPG then. They might do something open-world, since it's still in beta, but right now it has three modes: Solo, Private (play with up to four friends), and Online (play with four random strangers). I'd rather Solo was a little easier to play through, well, solo, but other than that it's a lot of fun.

Oh man this takes me back. For the Horde!

I do the same with Horde players, heck I might even hover over them and watch if their death is particularly spectacular.

I used to do that, too. Although back in TBC I'd occasionally go watch non-capped hordies do their Hellfire dailies, swoop in, mind control them three times to HoT/Buff/Bubble them then run off into the sunset just to fuck with them.

Faction is pretty much meaningless now, especially since more people play both sides, and all I really wish for is people to gtfo out of Outlands when I'm playing my alts.

Eh, I honestly have toons on both sides so...meh. That said, I don't usually step in to help out in WoW because dude. Most people are asses [at least that I've run across when leveling]. Guild Wars 2 on the other hand...Yeah, I join in. But again, more people than not seem to so -shrugs-.

so i dunno if Borderlands 2 counts as an MMO but it sure feels like one...

anyway, in the past week i have gotten involved in like, 3 different forum nerd fights about what weapon sets are broken vs overpowered and whether or not a PvE game needs nerfs and the whole thing is very embarrassing in retrospect. /o\

I'm new to WoW, have three active characters (all pandaren cause i don't really like the look of the races, except for Worgen and Tauren), but man, when people said WoW players were asses, they weren't kidding. I've been left in so many dungeons because I refuse to cooperate with asshole leader tanks. Fuck'em.

SWTOR has nicer players the further away you get from the capitol worlds and the first planet after (Taris/Balmorra respectively).

Most people are asses on WoW, there are some nice ones around though. But like unicorns they are hard to find.

The Dungeon Finder tool is douchebaggery personified, and since it's old, it's powergamed to hell and back. The entitlement and sheer willingness of people to be jackasses just because they can never fails to astound me.

There are some times of day where it doesn't suck though, and it's a great source of money and such if you can one or two people from your server to run with you. My subscription is down atm but as a perpetual healer who is tired of quest grinds, my alts would've loved nothing more than a pocket tank or even pocket dps who weren't dicks.

Also pandas are the best, hot topic hair and all.

Yes, WoW players are... IDEK. LFD is awful, I haven't even worked up the nerve to try LFR. I have mostly leveled alts at this point, because while I love the game, I mostly just want to play on my own, maybe with a few friends, chat with folks I like, and maybe do dungeons if we can get enough people together to vote-kick the douchecraft carriers.

I loved the SWTOR players, but I have such mixed feelings about what EA/BW has done with the game. :-\ I love GW2 but it requires a good bit more active thought than either WoW or SWTOR and ended up with me being frustrated a lot because I have disabilities affecting cognition and movement.
