Somebody here on F!S showed how to filter out Steve/Tony from your preferred OTP tags on AO3 by putting this in the "search within results" field while searching for your OTP: -"Steve Rogers/Tony Stark". You can put several pairings in at once, though I haven't figured out how to remove threesomes. I use the method for other fandoms, it's been a relief.

The problem I have is that they don't tag it Steve/Tony. When it's tagged, I have no problem. It's tagged, so I can skip them. Same with the threesomes. It doesn't annoy me to see the tag, it annoys me that I'm reading a fic, that it's tagged Bruce/Tony, that it says it's going to be about Bruce/Tony, and right in chapter 2, suddenly, one or both are contemplating how to add Steve to the relationship and there's no indication of it on the tags.

Wait, seriously? Why the hell would anybody want to do that? What do they think the purpose of the tags actually is? I guess they figure they don't want to "spoil the twist", but ugh, I hate that logic. Great, now I gotta look out for stealth pairings I despise because some authors are ridiculous.

Not a lot of people do that. But the ones who do in my experience, are Steve/Tony shippers.
