Some people downplay their own trauma because they think "Other people have it worse, so I must be some kind of weakling if I can't get through this minor thing."

If this is something provided by the school that isn't costing you anything, and if it's troubling you enough to question it, maybe it's worth just paying them a visit?

You should be proud of yourself because like everybody, you have a lot to deal with and it's hard, but you also need to know when to ask for a little bit of support. We are not designed to take on everything ourselves, that is why we form groups and why "therapist" exists as a profession. There is no shame in it whatsoever.
