Kitty update.

So, it turns out that the stray kitty I brought in yesterday had feline leukemia. Dad and I stayed with him as he was put to sleep at the vet's office this afternoon. I know it was for the best, but I'm still pretty crushed. He was such a sweet little kitty and he deserved a happier ending.

Fortunately for my other cats, I had kept him separated from them because I suspected that he might be contagious, and now I'm distracting myself by sterilizing everything the poor little guy touched so that they don't get infected as well.

Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone who left words of support and encouragement. They really meant a lot and I'm sorry I don't have better news to share.

I'm sorry. :( At least you can take comfort in knowing that the kitty died as painlessly as possible and knew he was cared for in the end.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( When I was younger we had to put down our kitten due to leukemia. It was heartbreaking.

Hope your other kitties stay well.
