icky question about female plumbing

(Anonymous) 2013-05-10 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
*Specifically about those born with vaginas.

so I was peeing today and I looked down and noticed two distinct streams. I know that pee comes from some kind of hole within your vagina or something, but is this normal? and if so how does that work?

It's totally normal. Probably just the way your urethra was angled relative to your bladder or something, I dunno, not an expert in anatomy, but yeah, it's normal.

...peehole is above and outside the vagina. Two streams might happen when there is something making the flow of pee travel in more than one direction. Hair, lips and smegma are some things that can redirect flow.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes sweat makes your folds stick together, so it makes two streams. I wouldn't worry about it.

to answer your question, yes. most likely caused due to the labia sticking together slightly or alternatively due to pubic hair clumping oddly.

More importantly though get yourself a guide on the female reproductive anatomy and a hand mirror. If you are describing your urethra 'some kind of hole within your vagina or something' you probably need it.
