Whale sharks

• The whale shark's Latin name is Rhincodon typus
• It is not technically as whale at all
• Whale sharks tend to grow to around 40 feet, however rumors of larger whale sharks exist
• Whale sharks are very docile, and divers have been known to "hitch a ride" on the whale sharks
• They are currently listed as "vulnerable"
