whump!tony fanfic recs two or three days ago

There was a story where the Avengers "accidentally" bullied Tony where he became a mess because of it and in the end it was resolved by Rhodney and Pepper sitting everyone down and sorting things out.

I cannot be the only one who felt that the other avengers got off too lightly. Basically an 'oh, I'm sorry,' and now everyone is of course going to get along. That was hardly a comeuppance and they barely got into any trouble at all.

Yes I've been upset about this for a few days so I need something cathartic. Can anyone recs me some fics where bullies have vengeance delivered upon them? No primary school 'I'm sorry' when they never are and the one who is bullied gets in unofficial trouble for being the one to make the fuss about the bullying. Grrrr!

Also any fic recs where the Avengers team completely breaks down and becomes unable to function, not through grief or a romance making the team unworkable but just because everyone is hostile and an ass. Thanks ahead :)

If you're talking about the story I think you are, then no, the team doesn't immediately become a happy and functioning group of friends after people say "I'm sorry." That story was part one in a series of SIX. And in part 3, plenty of vengeance is extracted by people close to Tony, especially Pepper.

cool! and it wasn't just that story that made it mad it seems to be a thing. Saying sorry for deliberately being cruel over a long period of time doesn't make all the damage done go away. Even though most fics treat apologies like karma handwaves.

Honestly, I'ld like to see a friendship or alliance just reach the end, break up, instead of always having to forgive each other.

DA yeah, i'm lurking around, reading the fic, waiting to see how she's going to make them friends after all this shit they put Tony through. I'm fascinated like a snake/snake charmer. i can see working w/them, building a professional, polite relationship b/c of who and what they are, but being actual friends with those people? No way in hell if I was tony (I don't really agree w/her Tony, I think he has way to much ego to put up w/that shit for long) would I ever be more than friendly towards them (not friends, just friendly due to not wanting any more drama in the working relationship).

Sorry. I'm the one that rec'ed it. I nearly didn't b/c it tends to piss ya off and cut closer to the bone than I think most, including myself, want to admit due to the bullying, triggering content.

Yeah, it's frustrating to me to. And I need some real repentance where they actually sit down w/Tony and talk it all out instead of mostly ignoring it and being friendlier to each other.

I don't know whether to tell you to read the comments or not 'cause the author keeps calling it "accidental" bullying, etc. and says Tony played a part in it (well, partly, but it's pretty minuscule imo and it's understandable why--he's pretty taken aback by it all and flustered, I think--I tend to have the same reaction to the same situations (you know-getting cornered by multiple people, etc. (why, yes, I've been bullied) bwah? whah? and it takes me a minute to get my thoughts together and if I can't get my words out/finish a sentence, well....). I called her on it and she said she didn't mean to "victim blame" and blah blah. The comments can be amusing though.

Reading Misconceptions (under lilsmartass's account) the meta post/fic post helps alot. It has meta, but it also has short fics that were written other people (and lilsmartass) that show the other Avengers getting their comeuppance along w/them becoming friends fics. I like chapter 55 the most: all night diner, where Rhodey really gets his digs in. I like most of them tbh, some more than others, but they're far less triggering than the main text.
