OP

(Anonymous) 2013-05-11 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I like to think so, and the story was certainly well-received, but I recognize that OOC is one of those things that one can seldom judge accurately for oneself. I'd link the fic and let you judge for yourself, but that would pretty effectively "out" me. I did deliberately subvert the rapey elements of the genre, though. The second part (how did this turn into a trilogy on me?) is going to challenge another trope in the genre that bothers me.

Oh man, I want to read this fic. Subverting tropes is one of my favorites!

DARN! I wish you could rec it!

Now I want to read it! I'm not really interested in a/b/o but I do like works that play with and subvert tropes.

Me too! What if we had a rec list of decent A/O fic, and then Anon could just slot their fic in there when there is a couple of recs, so no one will know? :)

I also want to read your fic :(

Subverting and deconstructing tropes and genres is way fun imo.

hmm, part of me thinks i might have read it already, which fandom/pairing was it for?

and if you feel comfortable with it, you could PM me the link, i'd love to read it anyway :D

OP again

If anyone wants me to PM them a link, I'll happily do so; I just don't want to out myself to the whole comm. I've already PMed the logged-in commenters who expressed an interest in the fic. (Maybe the anons could PM one of them, if they don't want to comment logged-in to the whole comm?)

I'd like to read it! I love fics that take a trope and do it right. C:

I find myself wondering which fandom you're writing for. I've run across a couple of good ones in my current fandom, but one seems to have stalled while the other has hit the end (minus epilogue, I think).

I, for one, would love to see a/b/o done in a way that does not squick me and subverts the genre. Link please? <3
