Me too.I feel intimidated if I know a fandom is sane and collected and keeps it's shit together.It seems harder to dive in it.

I don't drink. Never have, never will. But I get a little bit of...I guess it could be called loosened inhibitions by association...when I'm at a party/concert/family gathering with primarily drunk people, because A) I don't have to worry about acting weird, because everyone else is acting weirder, and B) Most of them probably won't remember said weirdness on my part.
