Agreed so hard.

I really don't like BruceTony because of the obnoxious fans. IIRC before the Avengers movie trailer that revealed that there were going to be some Tony/Bruce interaction, NOBODY gave a shit about Bruce and as a Bruce fan, it was really unsettling to see that the only reason he got any focus from the fandom because Tony talked to him....

Examples, please? The obnoxious Bruce/Tony fan must have their camo-gear on, because they're awfully hard to find.

(Also, as a Bruce fan? I only like Ruffalo's Bruce, for reasons completely unrelated to the other Avengers. I just don't care for Norton or Bana, so...that might be responsible for some of the rise in Bruce-happy activity you've seen too.)

I'm something similar. I actually liked Norton!Bruce well enough, but I prefer Ruffalo!Bruce.

However, the thing The Incredible Hulk had that Avengers didn't was BETTY. I would give a lot for Betty to come back.

You and me both. I miss Betty. People kept being pissed Jane from Thor wasn't in the Avengers, but I missed Betty. I wanted them both in the movie, if possible. And I just wanted the so-called fans to acknowledge Betty. Jane isn't the be-all of civilian women in the MCU.

Fascinating. Ruffalo!Bruce was the only interpretation so far that really rubbed me the wrong way; I liked Norton's portrayal, and while it's been a very long time since I saw the Bana movie, there's a degree to which Eric Bana can do no wrong in my eyes. But Ruffalo!Bruce annoyed me. What did you like about him, compared with the other portrayals, if you're willing to share?

Other people can probably articulate it better, but the biggest difference between Ruffalo!Bruce and Norton!Bruce is the way they approach what is basically a health issue. Ruffalo!Bruce is a little more self-depreciating and accepting; not at peace per say, but resigned. Norton!Bruce seemed a little more desperate, and I'd actually put him as slightly less sane than Ruffalo!Bruce seemed.

I suppose Ruffalo's Bruce could seem like a natural progression from Norton's Bruce, but I still didn't find Norton!Bruce very relateable as a character. Bana's Bruce didn't really click with me for other reasons, but I think he was better than Norton for the role.

(And at this point, you are probably sick of the words Ruffalo, Norton, and Bruce.)

I dunno... I mean, I like Bruce. I loved Bruce in the comics, particularly the David era, but I hated both Bana!Bruce and Norton!Bruce, but I loved Ruffalo!Bruce. And I know a lot of Bruce/Tony fans who became Tony fans BECAUSE Bruce talked to him, not the other way around.

And I also want to know where the Obnoxious Bruce/Tony fans hang out. I have never met one. (For the record, yes, I ship Bruce/Tony,but also ship Pepper/Tony and Betty/Bruce and I have never met anyone telling me off for liking the het pairings as much as I like the slash pairing)

That's because those het pairings are awesome. There should be domestic shenanigans where all four of them live together and are awesome and occasionally blow things up or take over small cities or crush random army generals *cough*Ross*cough* together.
