(This one could be so amusing if you don't know the theme naming of the Chinese characters in Ranma...but I digress before I even start...)
People actually 'ship those two? Like, in earnest, rather than 'well, I've got to do something to get her out of the way of Ranma/Other Fiancee Of Choice, might as well hook her up with the guy who wants her'? I've always seen him treated pretty much the same by fandom as by the characters - an annoying loser that's, at best, comic relief.

It just struck me as funny that if you don't know that all the Chinese Amazons are named for beauty products, and thus these are the names of people, 'Shampoo/Mousse' could be interpreted as 'shipping hair care products...
