21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does it ever refer to Sheik as male OR female in the game? The guidebooks tend to call Sheik a "he," but I always thought he/she was supposed to be androgynous.

21. Super Smash Bros. Melee refers to Sheik as a female. I would guess that guidebooks would call Sheik a he since it's supposed to be a secret that Sheik is really Zelda, kind of like how the Metroid manual would always call Samus a he.

In the game, Ruto refers to Sheik as "a young man."

SSBM says "she" but if college has taught me anything, it's to always trust a primary source over a secondary source.

Sheik being called a 'he' in the guidebooks probably to avoid spoilers, because Sheik is Zelda dressed as a man.
