On one hand I want to second that, and on the other hand I can kind of agree with the secret. XD

Like, I definitely feel the "oh god these people are awesome D:" kind of intimidation, but when I get over that and actually talk to them, it's like WHY AM I INTIMIDATED, IT'S ONE BIG HAPPY CIRCLE OF LULZ.

I see where you and the OP are coming from too.

I was very intimidated to post my icons when I started my iconfiend100 challenge after the feedback (or lack thereof) my D27 fanfic got, but I did it anyway, and I find I get much more attention as an iconer in this fandom.

I don't have the courage to do that. Because when I make something, and then look at EVERYONE ELSE'S, I'm like, "crap! my stuff sucks!" And then I try to figure out how you all make such gorgeous things. And witty sayings. I can't even find good font for icons.

For me, I honestly just play around with the crop in Photoshop until I like it. My cut text sayings tend to be quotes from the anime fansub.

But I really do understand where you're coming from. I mean, I haven't written at KHR! fanfic since the first one.
