32. Exactly - BL/yaoi is a niche "otaku" genre. If you look at most "bestselling manga in Japan" lists like Tohan (http://www.php.co.jp/fun/ranking/books.php?genre=f)'s list, most of the time the list is made up of mainstream titles, with the occasional "otaku"-ish title that pops up (like this week, Lucky Star vol. 5 is #5). BL manga usually does not appear in this list. It might appear in more "otaku" type lists more often, but Tohan's list is a more accurate reflection of the manga-buying public and not just the diehard otaku IMO.

The same can be said of other "otaku" niche genres for that matter.
