When I saw that post yesterday, I was like "oh shit, mine's going to be coming up soon and people are going to totally hate me." It's people like that that give us noobs a bad name. But actually I've gotten a lot of good advice from people, which is great! <3

I definitely don't write fic, but I would never consider it until I'd finished the game... I still wouldn't feel comfortable until I'd sat down and taken notes. There are just too many things to get wrong.

And thanks for the suggestions; I'll look into gamefaqs. The random battles were always a major turn-off for me, but I'll try and get a new attitude with that. The only reason FFVII is so difficult for me is because I have a real problem grasping the turn-based battle system. It's like nothing I've ever encountered before. I do a lot of playing in Guild Wars, and I'm used to just... running up to something and stabbing it a lot.
