28 OP here

If they off him JUST to make Zuko wake the hell up I'll be sad. But if they do it well and sort of... take Iroh away in a way that makes it final that Zuko 'doesn't need him anymore' that would work out.

You gotta make Zuko grow a pair first, THEN kick the Iroh crutch out from under him and make him go it alone for real.

But really, if there's anybody I trust to do good storytelling along with their character killing it's Mike and Bryan. <3

The problem I have with offing Iroh as a plot point is that while I'm interested in Zuko and I like his story, I think Iroh's a much more interesting character, and I want to know his story way more than I care about whether or not Zuko grows a pair. So offing Iroh to move Zuko's story along doesn't sit well with me.

I'm just too much of an Iroh fangirl to sit back and go "Well okay, it was time." I have a lot of faith in Mike and Bryan, but if they could make me say that, now THAT would be pretty damn astounding.

. . . they'd have to give me more backstory first, and a touching reunion scene with Lu Ten after. That would lessen the blow.
