Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is a show for young children.

Since when is F!S restricted to shows for adults? Btw, my little cousin hated this character as well and he's 5.

Since never. However, complaining about Cheese as an adult is kind of hilarious, unless it's about his being overused (I think there was one whole Cheese episode that was a bit much). It's like being angry about plot holes in Caillou. The show appeals to very small children as well as adults. Last time I checked very small children like fart jokes.

It's nice to know your little cousin, who is five, represents all five year olds. Does he get a little toga to wear while carrying out his responsibilities?

And last time I checked small children weren't all into the same shit, that's why I brought up my cousin.

>complaining about Cheese as an adult is kind of hilarious, unless it's about his being overused<

This show had an adult fandom just like other shows for kids. Why shouldn't adults point out their hate for a certain character? Look at the Brony fandom and the Derpy drama - and Hasbro recated to it by toning her down in the show.
Adults are allowed to have opinions on characters in kid shows.
You're not making the rules on what is acceptable to complain about and what is not.

The hell?

The issue with Derpy is that it appeared to be making fun of special needs people on a children's show which is why all the adult opinions got something rescinded. You may have also noticed that all the weirdos acting like Derpy was some untouchable holy fanon got soundly ignored.

You appear to think I'm attacking your very right to have an opinion. I'm just voicing my opinion on your opinion.

Why is this even a discussion board? Perhaps we should just have some static images if you get so offended when people comment on opinions you're posting in public

Please, at some point, leave Mom's Basement (which is a state of mind)

I was a kid when I watched Foster's and I hated him then.

That's fine.

That's a great idea actually, someone make that happen

Agreed. Random is only so funny, and his randomness wore out its welcome in his first episode.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought his jokes were dumb, but I found him endearing.

No.

The fuck we did.

There is a huge population of FHFIF fan's who thought Cheese was one of the weakest parts of the show.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Loud obnoxious catch-phrase spewing is why he's funny to me. He's an over the top ridiculous mock of everything. And it makes me laugh.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I never liked this show much to begin with. It was often so mean-spirited.
The only character I had some sympathy for was the girl. Simply because her job seemed to be hell on Earth.

are you me, anon

How so? I barely remember it but I'm curious now

Cheese was only good for one episode and not as a reoccurring character. After the first episode he became annoying.

Still, I loved him in that first episode.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Was he a reoccurring character? I only watched Foster's off and on (though loved it) and only saw him in his first episode. Which I liked.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
He showed up now and then, not enough to make me sick of him, but 'lines in different places' and all that.

If it makes you feel any better, I hated him too.

He made me laugh, but I can easily see how he would be annoying to some.

sorry I absolutely love him

(Anonymous) 2013-05-15 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
Cheese always creeped me the fuck out tbh. He's like a Salad Fingers expy with 100% more Uncanny Valley (because he's equally creepy without intending to be) and 25% more Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-15 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who was creeped out by Cheese's design.
