[Doctor Who/Narnia]

Both of them need to learn a lesson or two from Lobo, who blew up his planet and killed all of his species in order to get an "A" on his science experiment - since he was the only one left to hand out grades. Can't fault his logic.

Now I'm picturing Eight's nice sweet face and pretty pretty curls in the same position as Lobo's... :

Not a Who fan, but I think that they would both end up trying to murder each other by the end of the day, though.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
That might be optimistic.

Lies. This is fandom. There will be sex. Hot monkey sex.

Is it weird that I distinctly remember when I first saw New Who, Jadis was the first person I thought of when the subject of the time war was first raised? Guess that comes of reading fantasy fiction so much when you're young...

If they were going to destroy the universe, that makes a rather large difference.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you could counter that by saying "well, there's plenty of other villains who try to destroy the universe, and if one of them succeeds, you killed them all for nothing." Whereas if you just wanted to screw over your sister, you've already accomplished your goal.

I mean, you know, if you wanted to look at it from a really objective perspective. ;)

If your a time traveler, the answer is "well we'll just kill all of them first too, won't we?"

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah the philosophical literature of time-travelers! All their doctrines are written in pencil. With big fat erasers on the side.

That isn't a counter. That's just fatalism. Boo!

Oh oh! There's fic of this! I just recc'd it a couple weeks ago because it's awesome. Well, it's more "Jadis keeps the Doctor prisoner to periodically angst to him about her boredom and ~issues~ about what she did in between spending several weeks torturing and raping him, and the Doctor is unreasonably helpful about it" than "political panels" but whatever...

Got my vote, especially since we established a few topics ago that Tilda needs to play the Master (opposite Cate Blanchett as the Doctor) in a genderbentWho.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-15 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
I'd totally watch that version of genderbentWho! <3

(Anonymous) 2013-05-15 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
... Apparently I missed this topic, but yes. Yes, I approve of this message. I mean, we're talking more Delgado-era, suave and creepy style Master, right? The kind who has swordfights and genteel discussions with their Doctor while visiting him in prison and considerately trying to take over the planet the Doctor's imprisoned on with whatever bunch of aliens was handy in order to give said Doctor something to do?

Because, you know, Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett having genteel swordfights and restrained bragging contests while alternately trying to kill and save each other, I would be all over that.

If this is what we're talking, I AM ONBOARD.

Yes yes yes! She would make a terrific Master. Hell, I'd think she'd be a great Doctor as well. (But yes to Cate Blanchett as the Doctor as well.)

I'd start watching Doctor Who if that happened.
