I think the apology would have helped a lot - maybe five or ten years ago. But the constant stonewalling about how it wasn't plagiarism, how she had permission (which she got after the fact, and after misrepresenting it as "a few lines" instead of a few pages verbatim) - I don't know, I think it's now well past the point where an apology would help. Kind of like Lance Armstrong apologizing when he's backed into a corner and the truth is out there.

So yes, I guess I'm saying I agree with you!

I'm $ure $he doesn't feel the need to apologize one bit. It's not like it ever hurt her, right?

From the ONTD link upthread, it sounds like she's trying to lawyer the mentions of plagiarism out of existence, so obviously she's worried that it might hurt her.

But yes, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an apology, since that would mean she'd have to admit there was wrongdoing.
