It's not even really a spoiler. It's common knowledge that she is one of the two main leads in a show on another network. If you hadn't heard at upfronts, you would certainly hear before the new season started, what with promos and ads and reviews and things. It's not like someone said "OMG, did you know Ruby died last episode?" Or something like that. It's about the actress. And it is common, pretty much inescapable (at least by the time the next season starts) knowledge.
