That would be wonderful ♥ I have no idea how you could have that signed since I'm pretty sure most cons and autograph sessions have a "No weapons" policy, but still the most wonderful wish ever.

If not for my short and unmuscly status, I'd really like to do a Liefeldian cosplay one day. Cover up my not-flat stomach with a six-pouch or whatever. I just wanna be The Ka-Pouch for one day.

I don't like Liefeld's art but I completely understand why it's popular. He gets the over-the-top energy of superhero comics but he also plays on a lot of old-timer's lawns and that's what pisses them off. While I think we need to back pedal from a lot of his tropes (with the exception of pockets because that's just damn LOGIC, for once) I don't have a problem with him. Everyone I know who's met him says that he's nice.

I also like that he makes the men look just as ridiculous as the women... and just as sexy.

He also came around in a time of excess in comics. He really loves what he does and I can't fault the guy for it. He has gotten better. If only slightly. I think a lot of people are just angry that he still gets work when they think they, or someone else 'deserves' it.

It's like how people still try to put down Stan Lee in some comics communities. Even if you don't think he "deserves" any attention he's gotten for comics he's an amazing pitchman who loves what he fucking does. He's like 90 years old and still makes comics and will tell you about ho much he loves comics. Where as Steve Ditko still makes comics but he's a recluse who hates humanity. So of course we remember Stan more.

I can see Liefeld not drawing feet and putting pouches on everything when he's 90 and that would be awesome. Doing what you love and being around people that you love is the secret to long life.

And that's why even if I don't like his art I can't hate Liefeld.

This shouldn't be a secret. This should be an open goal you aspire to achieve. You should tell people this during job interviews.
