Summer just attacked here. I'll miss having the windows open at night.

Why don't you have the windows open during summer? For me summer is the only time the windows are open. Ohhhh wait do you mean you have air conditioning?

I have AC, and in the summer it can stay in the very humid 80s at night. And I have a hard time sleeping if the temp is higher than 68. (I don't set the AC to 68, I just grumble and deal.)

I open the windows in the spring and fall -- with both the AC and furnace off.

Going to watch the supernatural finale tonight, so I ain't gonna post a question. My phone will be Yoshi-ing like a fool during the show. :P

Same, not sure what to expect after the bundle of everything from last week. I hope it won't be an agonizing cliffhanger.

I'm still on season 1 of this show, so I have no idea whether finales are things that are usually terrible or good or okay.

Also, I love leaving my phone on in case I get replies to things; it makes me look POPULAR \:D/

I got my first speeding ticket today. I hate the world.

I went on a field trip with my nephew and his Pre-K class to the zoo. Which, to say the least, was interesting.

At one point a conservative Muslim family walked past us. The mom was cover from head to toe except for her eyes while pushing a stroller. A bunch of the kids watched them pass by with shocked eyes. One little girl turned to me and asked why was she dressed like that. Which started an avalanche of questions and comments. Another little girl said she looked scary. Quickly, I said, "She's not scary. Just different. And there's nothing scary about being different." I then explained you know how some people wear crosses around their necks because they are Christian. She was wearing that because of her religion. The kids weren't buying it and said again that she looked scary. To which I sighed and said, "She's not scary. She's somebody's mom. Look, she has kids and a stroller. She's a mom. There's nothing scary about being someone's mom."

You've never lived until you had a bunch of five year olds give you the hairy eyeball look that can only mean, "Hey, lady, don't bullshit me."

I didn't know what else to say, so I said, "Hey, the lions are next. Let's go!"

Angry, depressed and ill. So, same as usual.

Did you have fun on your vacation at least?

Turned in my final paper, and I'm waiting for my adviser to tell me if my thesis is OK or not. Since I have to have it in on Friday and get a signature from her, there's all kinds of anxiety right now.

Buuut I'm so close to graduation I can taste it.

I have to start keeping mine closed too, but in my case it's because of the bugs. eugh.

I have mosquito bites! Yaaaayyyy summer!

I'm mostly disgusting today, but I am trying on these new circle lenses so I can make anime eyes at everything. It's pretty cool.

Still recovering from travel, and it seems like heat & humidity have started...

Sick. Fucking sucks.

I'm on a jury. The case wrapped up today and we spent 2.5 hours arguing about the verdict. We'll continue arguing tomorrow. I don't see any way that we can reach a unanimous verdict. Ugh. I don't mind serving on a jury - it is the American way, after all. But I can do without the boredom and the arguing and the being held captive in the jury room during "deliberations" a.k.a arguments!

It's a good day! I finally found a good pair of wedding shoes and the tiny white tophat I wanted to go with my wedding veil.
