She's a lot closer to canon (sassy American) and even though she needs to be saved, she's not as helpless in the end. But I think the main reason she doesn't get the same criticism is that the RDJ fandom is not as big.

Is she really dead? Maybe, but she could easily show up alive in a 3rd movie.
