I can't think of anywhere that spamming other people with completely unrelated things is acceptable, online or offline, whether it's pants-shittingly hilarious (to the spammer) or not. It has nothing to do with whether the venue is fandom or not or the contents of what you're spamming, it's the fact that you are spamming in the first place. It's not even a particularly intelligent form of trolling - no point, no purpose, no commentary being made on anything.

Might as well have been a 13 year old boy running around a bus station yelling "FARTS!" in people's faces because farts are, to him, objectively hilarious, then turning around and telling everyone they're "too serious" and "this is why everyone is embarrassed of you" when they ask the kid's mom to please get him to stop doing that.

It has nothing to do with taking fandom seriously or not.
