It's possible. Both of the pages I'm looking at are based in servers that are a little older (community-anon was formed in 2009 and the one girl's journal that's hosting the meme was created even before then I think)

This is actually supported by me being able to see my own journal which is only a year old. The problem is probably LJ tried to do some dumb new update because that drunk exec got bored and journals older than like a year weren't compatible with it so they've gone down.

Actually, that's probably it. I looked closer (when visiting a-b) and there's a blue Livejournal message type thing saying that its undergoing maintenance and that there might be display errors.

But, yeah, lj's track record with this kind of thing is less than stellar.
