Every movement, party or philosophy has its wingnuts who take what start out as reasonable ideas (or at least not too UNreasonable,) cherry-pick the worst and least logically defensible parts and amplify them to absurd extremes, package them into soundbites and catchphrases, and then repeat them mindlessly ad nauseum in an effort to drown out those who dare to disagree with their ideas, their methods or both.

For social activism, that group is the Social Justice Warriors. I rank them right up there with the Westborough Baptist Church, the Tea Party, and PETA. They may espouse very different ideas and philosophies, but their bullying methods and behavior are unfortunately very similar:

1. Identify the enemy. This can include members of a particular target group(s), and also anyone from any other group who chooses not to join in your denunciation of them.
2. Attack them at every turn for any perceived offense.
3. Bulldoze any attempted rebuttals or defenses with a chorus of ad hominem attacks and parroted socio/political/psychobabble.
4. Never pause to wonder whether anything you're saying actually holds up under logical scrutiny or not, as long as it SOUNDS like it might and has a nice satisfyingly self-righteous ring to it.
5. Context? What context? I don't understand that reference.
6. An eye for an eye, and if you can grab an ear and maybe a limb or two while you're at it, so much the better.
7. Under no circumstances fall prey to the notion that The Enemy might ever have a good point, or any feelings, rights, genuine problems, or is in fact human (or that it matters either way.) If they don't agree with you in every particular and accept your agenda meekly and without question, FUCK 'EM.
