recycle Chick tracts

Ughghghghhhh don't you know how collectible those can be? They phase out titles all the time and some of them become rare or out of print, do you know what I would do for a copy of SOUL STORY or ANGELS? And so many of mine are missing now, like LAST GENERATION and THE DOOM COOKIE

If you can't tell, yes I do collect these. I used to be on the mailing list. So while I feel like telling OP that it's a stupid idea to basically throw money at crazy people, I love Chick tracts so much that I used to do the same thing (cause I couldn't collect them just by saving the ones people would occasionally hand to me -- shockingly I didn't get that many and the ones I got were always the same two titles over and over)

THIS WAS YOUR LIFE is the most common but damn yeah that one is a downer. Some of the ones he does like that are funny to me because they're so overdramatic with child abuse and stuff but it's not really the subject matter that's funny, just the way he depicts it (same reason why Lifetime movies are funny I guess)

I've only ever seen one in person- my sister found it at a bus stop. We live in Southern California, so not a big evangelical hub! But I used to read them online for shits and giggles. Then facebook had to get all Big Brother on me and started giving me conservative Christian ads. D:

I grew up in the buckle of the Bible belt pretty much (home of the Southern Baptist headquarters and huge Christian publishing hub) and I only got one or two in my life. There were always the same one and I usually got them at work when I was a cashier. I guess I'm so intimidating that Christians were afraid of "witnessing" to me.

The only time I ever got any Chick tracts was for Halloween from the local Evanjellies. I was seven, maybe eight. My very conservative Roman Catholic mother threw them out.
