Oh, hey, Attack on Titan secret! ♥ Huh, I actually didn't realize that wasn't the official name. What's he actually called, then?

(And even if it isn't official, at least it's a reasonable translation. Given that I still see people calling the Titans 'Eotena', I think that's all you can ask for in this fandom.)

I don't know how official Crunchyroll is, but they spell it as "Hoover", and I think the official manga translation uses the same? IDK, I was just flipping through a volume at Kinokuniya and stopped short of buying it because they spelt Eren's last name as "Yeager". Just why.

Hoover is wrong, it should be Huber, is a German surname.

Huh, that would make more sense, especially since if the author wanted a "v" sound he could've used ヴァ instead of バ (like with Levi/リヴァイ). Don't think I've ever seen anyone spell it that way though.

This comment and the secret in general is reminding me of when Gundam 00 was initially airing and we all thought surely the character's name was Livonz or something but lol nope his name is Ribbons.

And THAT reminds me of how I still don't even know what the fuck the main character in Ergo Proxy's name is even supposed to be.
