Why? He was just a 11 years old kid when he kicked the wall, Im not gonna blame a child soldier for his actions, the one who deserves to be hated is the one who gave him the orders and brainwashed him into doing it.

I definitely don't blame him for any actions when he was a kid. Indoctrination is a powerful drug. But, and maybe it's just because he's so quiet, it seems like he's the one who's stayed the most indoctrinated. ...possibly because of the low self esteem? In any case, whatever his reasons, it's less easy to write off him kicking down another gate at 16. Especially before we actually know their reasons.

Much as I love Bert myself, IIRC I don't think the brainwashing has been confirmed in canon? Besides, he did carry on with the mission up until now (16 might be young by today's standard but in-universe it might be different considering how young the kids were when they enlisted). I do think it's unlikely that a bunch of 11/12 year old kids thought up a plan to wipe out humanity by themselves but until the whole picture is revealed I'm gonna withhold judgment.

No real details about back then have been confirmed. We just know they changed their minds about having to break down the wall in the present, but not why or what their original motivations were.
