Re: Was Your High School Like the Typical Media Experience?

Not really. Yes, there were cliques, there were gangs, sometimes groups of girls were mean to me, sometimes guys on the sports teams did dumb shit, and other things that fit into media stereotypes. But they weren't part of any universal school hierarchy, and most people in school had probably never heard of them. I think any personal experience I had that fit some media stereotype was probably coincidence, because there was so much more that didn't. And I think as far as real life goes, I went to a fairly typical American high school.
