I know the feeling. My brother used to eat really loudly when we were younger and I regularly yelled at him.

I've learnt to controll myself better, but eating noises still really bother me (I was stupid enough to mention this a while ago and now my father and brother keep asking "Does this bother you?" as a joke which I do not find funny because yes. it. does.)

I don't know if having a term will make it slightly more bearable, but you might want to google misophonia.

Sorry I don't really have any advice. :(
