Love the show and love my part of the fandom, but I'm so done with the whiny Carter/Reese shippers who just keep complaining about Shaw being on board now. Carter is awesome and one of the best things about the show, but some of her more extreme fans and some of the Reese/Carter shippers are really giving their corner of the fandom a bad name, especially now with the announcement about Shaw and their resulting hate.

(it's just funny that the slashers are blamed for the hate, no matter that we all welcome Shaw with open arms and look forward to all of the ass-kicking she and Reese will do. Stereotypical much? Just because the slashers in other fandoms hate female characters, doesn't mean that all fandoms do).

On a similar note: No, not shipping Carter/Reese doesn't mean that someone is a racist. It could just as well mean, that we think that Reese is not good enough for Carter. She deserves so much better than his messed-up self. But such an opinion can't be possible and/or valid, of course.

I think part of it is that the "ugh, Carter is so mean" brigade was going for a long time before anyone was shipping Carter/Reese (and that it's harder for het-shippers to recognize their own stupidity in regards to female characters+like the women threatening the slash-ship, other women threaten their ship).

But I am definitely quite personally annoyed at the reaction to Shaw. We finally get a recurring character who is allowed to be as badass as Reese, and the reaction is to whine? BAH. BAH, I say.

(I do hope that her being around doesn't cut into Carter's screen-time, myself, but that's also because of the fact that the last two episodes didn't have any Fusco at all, and juggling a larger cast is difficult when it's a case of the week sort of show--maybe they'll do something like Criminal Intent did, and one week will be the normal A-team, and the second week will be Shaw and her team? idk)

(ok, also, I firmly believe Stanton isn't dead and that Zoe should come back more often. *pines*)

Well, seeing that I've only been in the fandom for the past couple of weeks (a friend insisted that I had to watch one episode, resulting in me falling in love right away and marathoning the entire show...), I missed that, and it is hard to imagine how anyone could think about Carter that way! She is fabulous and badass and I can't imagine how anyone could not love her. (her fans on the other hand are more than just an acquired taste, at least the way they behave towards Shaw and everybody who doesn't ship Reese/Carter)

I obviously agree about the rest and I can't wait to see what TPTB have planned for Shaw and just how much ass-kicking she is going to do. I hope we will also get at least a couple of cases with her and Reese together in the field, because these two together are just the best! And I hope she will meet Carter and the two of them will get along!

Shaw, Carter, Zoe (I'm really missing her, but it's unlikely that we will get to see much of her next season, seeing that the actress got her own show now), Stanton (I so want her back as well!) and maybe even Root (if she promises not to kill any of them) should just meet up at some point and have their own fun!

I don't know. I like to get to see all of them every week, including Carter and Fusco (the only thing that made me forgive his absence from the finale was the fact that they couldn't just kill him off this way. I was really worried for him, seeing how difficult his situation has become this season). So I really hope TPTB will find a solution that will give us plenty of Finch, Reese, Carter, Fusco *and* Shaw and that every week.

Greedy? Me? Oh, yes! :-)

Person of Interest is a very rare show for me in that I don't dislike anyone. Even the villains - I dislike them as people, but not in a get-this-character-off-my-screen way.

And both of the season finales left me staring at my screen in 'There isn't more?!?'-induced horror. (CBS had been on my shit list for a while, but their treatment of this show has redeemed them completely in my eyes.)
