- Sorry for the late, people!
- Also... guys. Make the secrets sound like something you'd be secretive about? Just bashing things isn't a secret, it's wank. D: Thanks!

Re: 11 and 12

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not suggesting that the inherent idea of main guy + main girl strikes me as "shallow" all the time. It depends on the series, the characters, and the relationships in question. I, personally, enjoy plenty of main guy + main girl pairings when that's the kind of chemistry and tension that's presented.

For Phoenix and Maya specifically, however, it simply baffles me. If those two aren't an example of an incredible, amazing, platonic bond between a guy and a girl, I'm not quite sure what is.

I know you didn't mean every main guy+main girl pairings, but when you go so far as to overgeneralize (that is, people only like this pairing due to their shallow and heteronormative stance rather than due to their endearing and amusing dynamics), then yes, it does come off as hypocritical to me.

For the record, I don't ship Phoenix/Maya, but I can definitely see the appeal for fans of the pairing; I've always thought that their friendship would be a good stepping stone for further developments in their relationship (romantic or not).
