I noticed the same thing back when I first watched it. Mental dialogue: How did that cup not fall over? Was that on purpose, or just random chance? What are the odds? Oh yeah, dead guy over there... BUT LOOK AT THE COFFEE CUP--!!!

Jared said in an interview or commentary or convention or smth that when he looked up there, he thought that a crew member had righted the cup because he couldn't believe it landed that way.
