I don't think the problem here is him personally. Yeah he was a terrible douchebag. But the fact that the OP thinks it's ~cute that his mind has been messed up is where it's weird. He may have deserved some sort of retribution but that doesn't have anything to do with infantilizing mentally handicapped people.

Okay, that part is...definitely off, yep, not arguing there. Honestly I find the existence of that ward one of the most heartbreaking things in the whole series.
