I'm still neck-deep in a Castlevania marathon. Have been stuck on Rondo of Blood for some days -- Death can go fuck himself lemme tell ya.

I'm playing them all (with some exceptions) in order of release, and I'll probably stop once I get to the GBA ones and pick up the marathon again later. I have to say, I know I complain quite a bit about the Inverted Castle (fucking lazy design if you ask me) but I'm legitimately looking forward to replaying Symphony of the Night again anyway. That game helped shape my teenage years and for a while I considered it one of the top 3 Playstation 1 titles. It also has some seriously great music guys I mean really.

So what's got YOUR thumbs twiddling?

Still playing Poker Night 2 on the xbox. Love the cool swag and character interactions.

I've been playing a shit ton of the Neverwinter MMORPG. I keep meaning to finish Lollipop Chainsaw or play Diablo 3 again so I don't feel like I wasted $60 buying it, but Neverwinter keeps dragging me back in.

I've been playing Portal 2; I've had it forever, but my old computer couldn't handle it.

(I'll also finish Assassin's Creed 2 and Tomb Raider pretty soon, I just felt like a change).

Mother 1 fan translation. It's very different, and better, tgan the "official" Zero one.

Pharaoh and Cleopatra: Gold, the relatively ancient city building game by Sierra.

I love this shit.

Slowly but steadily working my way through Ni No Kuni (for the first time). I just got to Hamlin.

Harvest Moon GBC. I wasn't sure if I'd like it as it's all farming and no wooing, but I have been pleasently surprised. I'm already half way through the 1st summer and I'm still having fun just planting and harvesting away.

I got Gears of War Judgment as a birthday gift earlier this month. It's...okay? I liked the main campaign, although I found a lot of the dialog cringeworthy. The Declassified option was fun but I wish the objectives were randomized, or at least changed depending on difficulty level.

I haven't played Overrun/Survival mode much, but the class-based combat um....leaves a lot to be desired. I don't mind the concept, but in execution the 'classes' seem half-assed and restrictive. :/

Still playing Borderlands 2 because its particular brand of grindiness soothes something deep within me. Also my brother and sister like playing it and they always seem to be leveling new characters so I've started a new one as well. :P

Also been playing a lot of Deathsmiles IIX because I got a HD capture device and I want to make tutorial-ish videos for it and stuff, but I don't think I'm consistently good enough to do that yet. :S

Flower for the PS3. I love this game so much. I'm supposed to be watching the second season of New Who, but every time I turn on my PS3 I must make the pretty flowers bloom.

I finally got around to playing Dishonored (I got in when it dropped but I've been putting it off because Skyrim). I finished two Low Chaos playthroughs in a row and now I'm thinking of attempting either a Ghost+Clean Hands playthrough or a High Chaos one.

I'm not sure if I can handle the tragedy of a High Chaos playthough, though. :(

Then after that I'm planning either a re-attempt of Eternal Sonata (I got about halfway through but the story and characters just didn't live up to the other tri-ace games) or Kingdom Hearts 1+CoM+2, OR buying a new game. Considering Ni no Kuni since I just found out it has the option to use the Japanese voice tract (tried watching an LP of it and the English voices were too cheesy for me to handle).

I've been working my way through Eternal Sonata for a while, and yeah, it's not a bad game but it's nothing compared to tri-Ace classics like Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean 2. So far, I think my favourite thing about it is the costume designs.

I'm still playing Mass Effect 3 MP/defiance/AC3/Dishonored/Halo 4/Soul Hackers/the first Mass Effect. Yeah, not much has changed since last week. But that's what happens when I play ten games at once. ;)

Metro Last Light.

Couple of gripes: firstly, only the major dialogue is subbed. So if you need subs (either genuinely or because you're a big dork who insists on playing it in Russian) you don't get to appreciate all of the scattered conversations that add flavour to the world. I actually had to ragequit and restart in English audio over this.

Second, Ranger mode is DLC. (It was also a pre-order bonus, but I live in Japan goddamnit so I had to get a digital copy and PSN wasn't doing digital pre-orders. While the Japanese market is slowly warming to the big FPS franchises like BF and CoD, Metro is way off the list.) You can't platinum the game without beating Ranger mode either, argggh.

Otherwise: AMAZING. Just as good as Metro 2033, even if it does re-use a lot of its predecessor's material.

Replaying Pokemon White. I'm using Pokemon I never used in my first play or in White 2, it's pretty fun. Already decided that Lilligant has made it to my top ten.

(I'm mildly stuck on trying to decide what to do for Mistralton Gym. Emboar has a rock move but is, you know, weak to flying, used Joltik in my first White run, got a Tynamo but it might take some doing to get it to a useable level. Tirtouga is probably my best bet, but between Ancient Power and Smack Down, that's only 20PP.)

I've just got back into video games for the first time in fourteen years at the worst possible time, money-wise, so my favourite game at the moment is Don't Think About It, Don't Think About It, Oh My God I WANT It, Don't Think About It!

I am playing that game right now as well. *sobbing forever*
