My mom had her knee replaced on Wednesday, and I've kind of been half-living in the hospital with her for the last few days. She's in terrible pain, and isn't recovering half as fast as the doctor seems to want her to (he keeps going on and on and on about how fat she is ughhh), and we're all nervous, despite the surgery itself going very well. I don't get to see her this weekend because I have to work, and it's seriously bumming me out. :/

Anyway, I just wanted to complain and ask if anyone had some ridiculous pictures/gifs they'd seen lately, because both I and my mother could use some cheering up. She loves you guys, since sometimes I read her stuff that goes on here and we occasionally watched the shit stream together over Christmas break.

This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen and I think everyone should see it:

No pictures, but would you like some inspirational anecdata? Relative of mine had a knee replacement, and almost couldn't handle the pain afterwards....but he kept moving around -- not running marathons or anything, he just kept moving, even if it was to walk the length of the house and back, and now that he is recuperated, he says he should have done it years ago, it's like a brand-new knee. So that may be some encouragement for your Mom? Lots of luck?

I'm sorry about your mom. I hope she gets well soon, and that they give her the good painkillers until she does.
