The dragon ones get experience. The pokemon ones whether they're from VDex or GPX+ either get nothing or experience respectively. (VDex ones are really more of "viewables" than "clickables".)

I think the dragons/eggs die if they don't get enough clicks within x amount of time. Pokemon are apparently made of harder stuff.

GPX+ pokemon gain levels; dragons I think hatch, and then turn into kid dragons that then turn into adult dragons? I don't play the dragon one so I don't know too much. (Someone else even corrected me that it's lack of views, not lack of clicks that kill them.)

VDex pokemon are different in that you get currency, not experience through views. And currency is a very nice thing to have in that game (evolutionary items, special TMs, breeding fees, donation item/old event pokemon auctions, etc).

The dragcave ones live off views, not clicks.

Clicks are part of the hidden formulae that determine when eggs and hatchlings mature; while they aren't necessary, they do help.
