Oh god, another curious weirdo who can't leave well enough alone!

(The Four Loko I tried was like drinking that rubbery coating that develops on stale hard candy. I'd say I regret it, but at least now I know? :P)

I didn't try it until they took the caffeine out of the formula. And the cheap buzz factor was appealing to me, too. Along with finding out if it's actually as disgusting as people say.

OH MY GOSH, THERE'S ACTUALLY SOMETHING TO THAT, APPARENTLY. My boyfriend also confirmed it, but we always make the same weird comparisons, so I didn't know if that counted. :P

Vodka can have differences in flavor. But vodka produced in America doesn't. Legally, vodka is defined in America as a flavorless liquor (I mean vodka that doesn't have flavor artificially added). Just wanted to put that out there, because it's always pretty funny when people are talking about which American vodka has the best taste.

Also RIP 4Loko. You were too good for this world. By which I mean terrible.

4 Loko is / was an American alcoholic energy drink. Essentially, a candy-sweet fizzy drink that was highly caffeinated and also had 12% abv. They were kind of a fad for a while because, well, they were cheap and easy to drink and they got you really, really fucked up. I mean, it's caffeinated and 12% abv. It's kind of a bad combination. It made crazy things happen. It got a whole reputation going for it, you know? It was a thing. Seriously, they were insane.

Then eventually some people noticed that it was a highly alcoholic energy drink, they passed some laws, and it's not caffeinated anymore, so it's not real Four Loko. So the reason you haven't had it is because it was only American and it doesn't exist anymore sadly.

... Oh god that sounds like it would really really really screw with your chemistry. Like vodka and red bull, but prepackaged. XDDD Is it bad now I'm sad I will never get to try it? I mean, they did say upwards they tasted nasty, but. You know. For Science. >>;;;
