That post makes no sense, but yeah, you're probably better off not getting into an argument about it.

Yay a Gintama secret!
Unfortunately I cannot read Japanese... :)

My japanese is admittedly terrible, but can anyone answer me why the kanji in the top-left panel(神楽)should be read as "Kagura"(Shinto music), but the furigana reads "Kanojo"(girl/girlfriend). I see this kinda thing in manga all the time, is it just some kind of analogy or double-meaning, or am I just too dumb to get it?

My Japanese isn't great either but this is something people do? I see it mostly with combinations of katakana and kanji though. For example, someone might write the kanji for car but the furigana will say automobile in katakana. It's kinda arbitrary.

In this case it's because while he says "kanojo" (which means "she" here), he's refering to Kagura, and not some other girl who might be present there. I think in this case it's only to avoid confusing as to who he is talking about.

I think what you meant was something like the "jikan" with "toki" as the furigana, right? Well, the furigana is always what they say, but the kanji/hiragana/katakana is the meaning.
