but mostly i like thinking just how much the society would have to change

i mean, would pokemon be used in warfare? would it be more idyllic like in the pokemon anime? would the protagonists be better adjusted with a loyal sentient critter giving them affection and camaraderie?

how would pokemon and magic mix? could pokemon be enhanced by magic or would they just be immune to it? would they replace local fauna entirely?

Oh man, I love the idea about warfare and society. I mean, some Pokemon are sentient and obviously very smart (Meowth could talk!). Is fighting Pokemon more like fighting dogs or people? Would armies breed large pokemon for war? Can pokemon even be farmed?
