Star Trek and Supernatural

Hunters chasing vampires and demons across the galaxy and also having to make sure that "yes this is a Wendigo, not a Klingon" etc.

It would be amazing.

Though really, Star Trek + anything would be awesome.

Star Trek/Harry Potter:

The Intergalactic School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a space station that orbits some planet in the neutral zone! Vulcans/Orions/Humans might be especially prone to magical abilities, while others like the Gorn or the Ferengi might be less so, so when one displays magical tendencies it's a HUGE DEAL.

(Spock would totes be a Vulcan squib)

I LOVE the idea of Star Trek and SPN! I wonder how Vulcans would rationalize demons and such.

They would say that it was a consequence of being overcome by emotion or that it was a result of some inherent human weakness, probably.

Actually, the most logical explanation would be that demons are some form of incorporeal parasitic alien that takes over its host.

You know, I actually wrote "like the Yeerks from Animorphs!" at the end of that post, then decided not to include that bit, because lots of people aren't familiar with Animorphs and I had no way of knowing if you were one of them or not.

This sounds a bit like the Emissary plotline (and other Bajoran religious stuff) in DS9. One of my least favorite aspects of the series, but a different supernatural-stuff-in-space show (one not in the Trek universe, or a Trek AU) might be interesting.

I kinda want Star Trek + Firefly, which is weird because I've only really seen passing episodes of both shows and the reboot movies. Seeing the ST movie this weekend has definitely made me wonder how it would be if a non-Western culture dominated everyone elses + new alien cultures.
