I don't think TV makers are in denial about the fact that they live in a global community. Like everything, it's more complicated than that. That global community is made up of many countries, all of whom have their own laws around broadcasting, advertising, foreign content, protection/promotion of their own television industry.

You don't want to wait to see it? Fine. Just leave it at that, instead of blaming the pesky TV people who supposedly don't understand there's a whole big world out there.
