This movie horrifies me. I have only watched all the way through it twice. I start sobbing at the end.

It's one of those movies I consider to be great but don't have much desire to see more than once.

You know, I've always wanted to watch it, but I'm emetophobic (fear of vomiting) so I'm alway wary when I watch a movie about things that will probably made a character sick... And when they told me it was pretty crude I thought "Welp, there goes my chance to see it and not panic."
I've never thought about asking for some reason, so I'm doing it now. Is there people vomiting in it? : (
(I've never watched The exorcist for this same reason, even though I'm a big fan of horror...)

I don't think there is vomiting, but I am only like 80% sure. I asked my sister and she can't remember vomiting. But there is other gross stuff.

There is definitely vomiting! Marion throws up at some point, I remember that much.

Yup, definitely vomiting. I haven't seen the movie in awhile, but I have the soundtrack and one of the song titles is "Marion Pukes".

Ugh, I get so freaked out by people vomiting in movies and shows. Like, I can handle a decent amount of gore in crime shows because I know it's fake, but as soon as it's vomit it doesn't matter how fake I know it is.

Really, gore and other gross stuff do nothing on me, but put on some puke and there I go panic all over the place.
Phobias sucks so much.

Though to be fair, the young one's stories didn't really freak me out. Ellen Burstyn though? Fuck. Her character destroyed me. I think I could get through the movie if they just took out her parts.

I agree with what my best friend said about this movie (and I think he was quoting someone else), "Requiem for a Dream is the best movie you never want to see again."

If this movie didn't even make you pause and reconsider, then you might well be the type that's only going to learn by hitting rock bottom yourself.

I'm not going to try to change your mind. You aren't the type that that works for. I just hope something gives you the epiphany of change before that, or you are fucked. That or you die.

I made the mistake of watching that movie alone.

I nearly wanked myself into a coma. Seriously, I think I broke a record that evening.

My left bollock still hasn't recovered.
