I was adding an old fic to my AO3 account, and wanted to properly tag it -- but hell if I can find a canonical tag that suits it! The fic has character A in love with B, but he spends years keeping silent and never expressing said feelings. In the end it's of course revealed that B feels the same way, yadda yadda. So what's the best tag for this? I tried everything from "hidden emotions" to "secret love" and so on, yet I came up with nothing. In the end I just tagged it with "unvoiced feelings", but I'm certain there must be a canonical tag for this. I mean, it's hardly an unusual plot!

It's technically "yearning" iirc, but nobody uses that unless they have a love of the freeform.

Yes, I was referring to uncanonical tags.

But it turns out I was a tad wrong. Yearning will actually show up under pining.
