Op: I knew about that yes, and find it amusing an amusing tidbit, though I was still sort of channeling her awkwardness more than anything else.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure she felt awkward.

Am I the only one who felt like Jamie and Brienne's interactions in the book were bordering on romantic while the tv show just sort of sucked any subtext out of their relationship? I imagined the scene where Jamie saves Brienne from the bear as being sort of romantic (well, in the book it was more like he was helping her fight off the bear but realistically, if he hadn't brought Robb's bannermen back to Harrenhall she'd have been killed). I mean, they ride off together!

Well, I'm not very far in the book yet, but I've been finding their scenes in the show romantic as hell. I didn't even want to ship it when they started traveling together, but now... D:

Yeah, I'm just a show watcher, but there's definitely some implied romantic tension. There's this one scene,while Jaime is still her captive, that for a moment there it looks like they're almost going to kiss.

I ship it hard, the fact that she's masculine and he's moderately masculine does it for me. I really like female characters who are super butch but hetero

But...but I saw subtext. :< Or maybe I'm just a diehard Brienne/Jaime stan, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't imagining that beneath Jaime's general asshattedness (remember; we have no window into their inner thoughts in the show, and I can't recall in the book that he ever outwardly was very nice to her most of the time even while he was having soul-searching inner monologues about honor and offing psychotic Kings) there's still the general resemblance of what was there in the book.

OR I COULD BE WRONG, Y'KNOW. :< People see different things sometimes.

As a show-only person... Jamie and Brienne's interactions are friendship definitely bordering on romantic love. It just seems like Brienne doesn't have the time for bullshit like flowers & serenades.
