In the MMO vein, I really, really miss City of Heroes. I wasn't even there when it all got shut down because I had to reformat my computer at exactly the wrong time. I'm already forgetting the names of some of my characters. As melodramatic as it sounds, it feels like they were killed and I'll never see them again.

Also: the fic meme for my fandom being active.

I feel that way about my WoW characters. I have all my screenshots saved that I will look at occasionally. Be all sad about the adventures we used to have.

I was there when it shut down. We let my daughter stay up until like two in the morning to run a Manticore TF with us, and then my friends and I hung out around the shiny rock in our supergroup base and danced until we saw "lost connection to mapserver" for the last time.

I have the screenshots of ALL MY GUYS. Even the ones who were level 5 on some server I never played on.

And now I'm getting all nostalgic. Damn, I miss that game.
