Re: Fic progress

Currently working on my first longfic for a meme. The first 40K felt as easy as breathing, but now I'm getting to the part where I need to buckle down and get to work. There's a mystery that I need to amp up the clues for, yet make misleading enough that the audience doesn't figure out what really happened until the last scene, yet make natural enough that they DO figure it out in the last scene. I've only posted about 11.5K so far since I never write in order, but the next chapter is going to start in on clues in earnest, and I don't want to screw up.

My #1 method of fanfic motivation is to go back and consume some canon. It never fails to unbury character voices and unlock doors I couldn't figure out how to open.
