"if you're not just like me then there's something wrong with you" people

I know too many of those people; I competently understand. It's rough but you're right, you can't change someone. After a certain point dealing with people like that just seems pointless.

Yep. For the most part I try to avoid people like that, but it's kind of hard when it's a family member. It does explain why I don't spend any more time with him than I absolutely have to though.

I won't ask questions about yours in case you don't want to talk about it, but you can always PM me if you need to rant or whatever.

Pfft, it's fine. Mostly we just grew apart like people do. I do have certain issues with him but those aren't going to change anytime soon.

Totally different topic, but have you watched the Elementary finale yet?

Yup! The last few minutes were glorious; I wanted to coo at the adorableness.

The first hour...I wasn't so fond of, but the last hour mostly made up for it.

Haha, I had pretty much the same reaction! The first hour I didn't love either (I thought Irene was...irritating, and I kept thinking she belonged on White Collar instead) but the second hour mostly made up for it. And the last few minutes...I couldn't stop going "awwwww!" lol

We're brain-twins, I swear.

Irene was incredibly unconvincing to me in the first hour. IDK if it's just me but her screaming sounded fake as hell and not for one second did I believe she had genuinely been kidnapped and held hostage. Maybe it was that in addition to not shipping it (not a big fan of Sherlock/Irene thing in any incarnation) but a couple of Sherlock's scenes with her were just cringe-worthy for me. So I suspected she was either working with Moriarty or was Moriarty, and after that became confirmed she was 100% more likable.

Yessssss, the bee thing was so cute that I couldn't stop grinning.

Exactly! It's definitely not just you...I was not buying the whole kidnapping thing at all. It seemed so obvious to me that she was up to something. And maybe it's because I don't ship it either (in any version), but I agree that some of their scenes were cringe-worthy. I kept seeing all these comments where people were hoping she comes back eventually because "OMG they have such great chemistry!" and I was thinking "Ummm...did we watch the same show?" because I didn't see it. At all. But yeah, she definitely became way more likable after the reveal, although I was still glad to see her get caught.
