Most of my closest friends are all single too and have been for as long as we've been hanging out regularly (21-25 age range, five years of friendship), so it's not something I've ever really had to deal with from them. But my roommates last year had both been in long term relationships since forever and could be super patronizing about it and my family (not as often my immediate, but aunts and uncles and cousins and grandmas and such) do it too.

So many people seem so dependent on relationships for personal happiness that it seems to blow their mind that you can be happy without one. I mean, yes, I would like on eventually, but I'm not terribly good at them and I've met no one recently I'm willing to put the effort in for. I don't need stupid, ~it'll happen when you're ready nonsense~. Just because I'm happy/fulfilled with the platonic relationships in my life and not actively looking doesn't mean I am somehow lacking or not ready. Ugh.

Sorry, this frustrates me so much. Fuck your friends, OP. I'd say tell them off but lbr, if this was me I wouldn't be able to. Best of luck!
